Are you passionate about craft brewing and eager to learn the ins and outs of brewery operations?
We are currently seeking a dedicated Brewing Assistant to join our team at Hound and Stag Brewing Co.
This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced brewing staff and gain hands-on experience in the dynamic world of brewing.
Key Responsibilities:
- CIP Duties: Perform Cleaning in Place (CIP) on brewery equipment, including fermentation and brite vessels, the brewhouse, kegs, and other equipment.
- Cellaring Operations: Assist with diagnostics, fermentation management, quality control, and data management.
- Processing and Packaging: Support processing and packaging duties as needed.
- Equipment Maintenance: Carry out routine equipment upkeep and troubleshooting; assist on brewing days under guidance.
- Stock Management: Manage stock rotation and conduct regular stock counts.
- Oversee store and cold room management.
- Operate hydrolytic pallet jack and other equipment for efficient stock handling.
- Assist with stock ordering.
- General Maintenance: Perform handyman duties, including cleaning and organizing the venue, along with some mowing and garden management.
- Deliveries: Deliver stock across SE QLD using a business vehicle. An open car license is required; a Light Rigid license is a bonus.
- Bar Support: Assist with bar work during peak times.
Prerequisites:
- Basic understanding of brewery operations and daily workloads is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, representing the brewery during customer interactions.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing workloads and requirements in a dynamic environment.- Capability to work flexible hours and perform physically demanding tasks, adhering to safe work practices.
- Proficiency in using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in a manufacturing environment.
- An RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) or the willingness to obtain one is required.
