Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst on a 12-month fixed term contract to support the definition, build, and implementation of a business-critical application within the general insurance industry. Reporting to the Head of PMO, this role will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and delivery partners to ensure the solution meets business needs and is successfully implemented. This role is suited to a BA with hands-on experience delivering general insurance projects, who understands insurance operations and can translate business requirements into effective system solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Elicit, analyse, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements within a general insurance context
Work closely with technical teams and vendors to translate business requirements into solution design and system configuration inputs
Analyse existing insurance processes, policies, and data flows, supporting the definition of future-state processes and identifying impacts
Support build, testing, and defect resolution activities, validating that solutions meet agreed requirements
Assist with data migration activities, including data mapping, validation, and reconciliation
Support business readiness, user validation, and Go-Live activities, ensuring the solution is fit for purpose
Contribute to change and communication activities, helping stakeholders understand impacts and adopt new ways of working
Qualifications
What You’ll Bring
Proven experience as a Business Analyst delivering projects within the general insurance industry (essential)
Experience supporting new software builds, system implementations, and/or data migration initiatives
Strong ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams, and delivery partners
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail
Experience using analytical and reporting tools, such as Power BI, to interpret and validate data (desirable)
Clear, confident written and verbal communication skills
