Summary
Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager, the Business Analyst will analyze the performance of operational contracts, support new contract processes, and manage the monthly financial closing for a portfolio of contracts. The role includes assisting operational managers with Equans' financial tools, providing insights into contract performance, and developing reports, dashboards, and performance indicators to support decision-making.
Scope of duties & responsibilities
Handle the monthly financial closing of a portfolio of contracts (accounting entries, analyses, etc.).
Present and explain financial results to the managers of the contracts/sites assigned to them.
Ensure the accuracy of financial information, especially concerning accounting allocations and projects/cost centers.
Analyze and explain monthly variances between actual, budgeted, and forecast results.
Participate in updating various financial reports for the group.
Support operational managers in the financial aspects of their contracts.
Participate in analyzing the financial performance of new contracts, comparing it with the initial bid to propose improvements.
Contribute to the development of new reports and analyses, improving dashboards and performance indicators in collaboration with the business portfolio manager.
Actively participate in the budget process.
Collaborate on the year-end report in collaboration with the Finance team.
Maintain good relationships with internal and external clients.
Perform any other duties required by the role or assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Requirements / Qualifications
Authorized to work in Canada.
Able to pass the required security clearance checks.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration (BBA) with a specialization in accounting or equivalent.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar role.
CPA designation or in the process of obtaining it is an asset.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
Good knowledge of the new IFRS standards.
Knowledge of D365 is an asset.
Willing to travel
English Proficient in both spoken and written communication

Pay range: $75,000 - $85,000
