Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Business Performance, the Business Analyst is accountable driving superior business performance by analyzing and improving pricing and promotions within their assigned categories. The Analyst will support the Business Performance Directors for Pork and Poultry in developing and presenting insightful information with respect to pricing, sales and marketing programs, product innovation and margin management, that supports decision making and decision analysis.
Key Accountabilities
Effectively organize and communicate pricing and promotion across assigned product categories
Manage price, sales programs and margin management to drive superior business results;
Work with Sales to develop pricing strategies and solve for inferior listings;
Provide relevant business insights and knowledge to support sound decision making;
Identify opportunities to improve/expand reporting to enable better business decisions to be made;
Enhance, expand and maintain Product profitability reporting.
Requirements
Accounting designation with 3-5 years’ experience in Financial Analysis;
Exposure to cost accounting in a Processing Environment, a must;
Proficiency in MS Applications
Experience with a Business Intelligence Software. Sales Analysis, an asset;
Superior MS Excel Modelling Skills;
Advanced capabilities and extensive experience with database functions;
Extensive experience with look-up, reference and pivot table functions;
Hiring Range: CAD $64,393 - $92,082
Bonus: This position is eligible for a bonus up to 8% of base salary subject to the plan terms and conditions.
Please note that the expected hiring range provided is derived from a group of like roles within Sofina. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on geographical region, applicable experience, skillset of the candidate and internal equity.
