Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Learning:
Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons across the Business and Economics curriculum at both Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. Ensure that all lessons are well-planned, differentiated to meet the diverse needs of students, and aligned with national standards.
Curriculum Development:
Contribute to the development, implementation, and review of the Business and Economics curriculum. Help to ensure it remains up-to-date, relevant, and engaging for students, incorporating real-world business and economic scenarios.
Assessment & Progress:
Monitor and assess student progress regularly. Use a variety of formative and summative assessment methods to provide feedback that supports students’ academic growth. Identify areas for improvement and work with students to set individual targets.
Support & Pastoral Care:
Support students both inside and outside the classroom, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Work with colleagues to support the well-being and development of students, ensuring that all students feel motivated and valued.
Extra-Curricular Contribution:
Play an active role in the life of the school, including contributing to extra-curricular activities related to Business and Economics. This could involve running business-related clubs, participating in school-wide events, or supporting the development of enterprise initiatives.
Professional Development:
Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities, attending staff training sessions and participating in relevant teaching communities. Share best practices with colleagues and contribute to departmental meetings and reviews.
