The Opportunity
At Indigoblue, our Business Development Managers are market builders and problem solvers. You will work closely with mortgage brokers to structure solutions for complex borrower scenarios and help grow our presence in the Ontario broker channel.
This role offers significant autonomy. Your focus will be building strong industry relationships, identifying opportunities, and generating consistent deal flow. Our Toronto office serves as a collaborative hub, but success in this role is measured by the relationships you build and the business you originate.
You will work closely with underwriting and senior leadership, allowing you to advocate directly for broker submissions and help move deals efficiently through approval and funding.
Key Responsibilities
Broker Relationship Development
Build and strengthen relationships with mortgage brokers, agents, and brokerages across Ontario to generate consistent deal flow.
Market Expansion
Identify and develop new broker partnerships while deepening engagement with existing referral networks.
Deal Structuring
Collaborate with brokers and internal credit teams to structure practical solutions for borrowers who do not qualify with traditional lenders.
Industry Engagement
Represent Indigoblue at broker events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand our presence in the market.
Pipeline Development
Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities and provide reliable forecasting through CRM tools.
Market Intelligence
Stay informed on competitor offerings, broker sentiment, and market trends to help refine our lending strategies.
Internal Collaboration
Work closely with underwriting, credit, and leadership to ensure deals move efficiently through the approval and funding process.
Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in mortgage sales, alternative lending, or financial services
Experience working with mortgage brokers is strongly preferred
Existing relationships within the Ontario broker community are an asset
Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
Basic familiarity with mortgage underwriting concepts and risk considerations
Comfortable using CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
Willingness to travel throughout Ontario to develop broker relationships

What We Offer
Competitive Compensation
$65,000 – $80,000 base salary plus uncapped commissions, with total compensation potential well into six figures.
