About The Role

Responsibilities Of The Business/Economics Teacher
• Plan, execute, and evaluate captivating Business and Economics lessons that push students to excel.
• Encourage students to dive into and broaden their understanding of Business and Economics concepts.
• Teach Business and Economics at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, delivering engaging and relevant lessons that inspire students’ interest in the field.
• Develop and implement a curriculum that balances theoretical knowledge with practical applications, preparing students for future academic and career pursuits.
• Foster a stimulating classroom environment that encourages discussion, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
• Equip students for exams, practical assessments, real-world business, and economic scenarios.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in departmental meetings to ensure a cohesive approach to the Business and Economics curriculum.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to remain updated on teaching strategies and current developments in economics and business education.
• Keep meticulous records of student achievements and progress.
Requirements Of The Business/Economics Teacher
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, and a degree in Business or Economics or a related subject.
• Previous experience as a Business/Economics Teacher is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of business and economics principles, such as marketing, economics, and finance.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to create engaging, thought-provoking lesson plans and activities.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
• A commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
• An understanding of the UK education system and relevant curriculum standards.
• Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
