INTRODUCTION : As a Butchery Assistant, you will play a crucial role in preparing products for sale, and ensuring a seamless customer experience at our Shop
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Greet customers and assist them in selecting products, providing detailed information about cuts, preparation methods, and pricing as required .
Maintain a clean and organized sales area, ensuring products are properly displayed and labeled.
Process customer transactions accurately using Eftpos systems and handle cash payments
Receive, unpack, and stock incoming inventory, checking for quality and freshness.
Prepare and create products for sale in the shop & markets as directed
Collaborate and work with team members to achieve sales targets and ensure customer satisfaction.
Uphold hygiene and food safety standards as per safefood & regulatory guidelines, including proper handling and storage of meat & seafood products.
Deal with Customers, Suppliers and other Team Members professionally at all times
EXPERIENCE
Proven experience in a Meat or Seafood retail preperation and sales
Strong knowledge of different meat cuts & seafood products, cooking methods, and food safety protocols.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and team members.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $30.00 – $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 per week
