Working hours: 30 Hours per week, 7 Day rotating roster
Job position: Café Chef
Responsibilities:
Prepare a wide variety of dishes with consistency, quality and strong attention to detail
Ensure the display cabinet is always fresh, visually appealing and maintained to high standards
Apply solid baking skills to produce a range of baked goods for daily service
Develop and refine menus using seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
Maintain exceptional standards of food presentation, flavor and overall dining experience Role Expectations: This role suits a Café Chef who thrives in fast paced environment, is confident preparing buffet- style and function catering as well. Someone who enjoys creating unique and innovative dishes. The ability to cook Polynesian and Fiji Indian cuisine is an important part of the position. Flexibility is required as some evening shifts may be needed for schedules functions. Requirements:
At least 2 years of work experience working as a chef in commercial kitchen
At least level 2 qualification in cookery
Have a positive, can-do attitude
Desirable work ethic (e.g. punctual, honest)
