Café Manager cum Cook/Chef

Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic individual who can manage daily café operations while also preparing and cooking food as per our menu standards. The role requires both managerial and culinary skills, ensuring smooth operations, excellent customer service, and high-quality food preparation.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
Oversee day-to-day café operations, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and cleanliness.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
Monitor expenses, control wastage, and assist in maintaining profitability.
Manage suppliers, stock ordering, and vendor relationships.
Culinary Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items (e.g., shawarma, pasta, sandwiches, nuggets, milkshakes, etc.) to café standards.
Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
Develop new dishes, specials, and menu improvements.
Ensure kitchen equipment is maintained and in good working order.
Customer Service & Team Management
Supervise and train café staff to deliver excellent service.
Handle customer queries, complaints, and feedback professionally.
Create a welcoming and friendly café environment.
Lead by example with a hands-on approach in both cooking and management.
Requirements
Proven experience as a café manager, chef, or cook (preferably in fast food/street food/café setups).
Strong culinary skills with ability to multitask between management and cooking.
Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and during peak hours.
Passion for food and customer service.
Preferred Qualifications
Diploma/Certification in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, or related field.
Experience with menu development and cost control.
Basic knowledge of POS systems and café operations.
