Job Description
Veera Health is a YCombinator, Sequoia Capital & GFC-funded startup building digital solutions and products to help Indian women live a lifestyle of wellness. This includes our groundbreaking hormonal health and weight loss programs (with results published in leading American journals) as well as science-backed supplement products.
We are looking for a self-driven, enthusiastic team player with a background as a nutritionist / dietician. You will be responsible for motivating patients to follow through with treatment for their chronic condition and keep them accountable to their goals. You will build a deep, trust-based relationship with the customer and enable them to build lifelong healthy habits, with a special focus on food and diet.
- Be the single point of contact for patients signing up for our chronic care programs. Build trust and counsel patients, help them open up to you
- Build meal plans and share recipes based on their unique requirements (training will be provided with our lead nutritionist)
- Answer questions about nutrition and their overall treatment plan, adapt it to her needs as needed
- Help coordinate with other doctors (eg gynaecologist) on appointments or other follow-up questions
- Monitor symptoms over time to ensure compliance and progress in treatment
- Keep patients motivated and find ways to re-engage them if needed
- Create patient education materials where required
- 3+ years work experience as a nutritionist / dietitian with exposure to PCOS and similar chronic conditions (ideally have at least 1 year of experience in a hospital or clinical setting)
- Graduate / post-graduate in Nutrition or other relevant clinical field
- Empathetic, warm and enthusiastic attitude; self-driven and willing to take initiative
- Excellent listening and rapport-building skills with new patients
- Excellent English speaking and writing skills. Articulate and persuasive communication skills.
- Ability to speak a second/regional language is a bonus.
- Prior experience with health coaching is a bonus or in a pharma/hospital/healthcare management setting is a bonus
- Comfort with ambiguity and early-stage startup atmosphere, willing to be flexible and undertake different types of work
- Detail-oriented and organized to confidently manage several patients at the same time
