Overview
We are seeking compassionate, reliable and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for clients by offering personalized care tailored to their unique needs. This position requires a commitment to patient care, empathy, and the ability to work with individuals with various disabilities, including those with dementia and other health challenges.
Duties
Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, and dressing in client’s homes.
Assist clients with mobility and heavy lifting as needed.
Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
Monitor clients' health status and report any changes or concerns.
Assist with medication reminders and adherence.
Support clients with daily activities, including light housekeeping tasks.
Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or hospice needs.
Qualifications
Previous experience in caregiving or related fields is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of patient care techniques and home care practices.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as necessary for client support.
Strong communication skills and a caring demeanor.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
Familiarity with hospice care practices is beneficial.
Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
A valid driver’s license may be required depending on client needs.
Recent criminal record check with Vulnerable Sector within the past 5 years.
First Aid/CPR certification.
