Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Personal Assistant to provide support to individuals in a group home setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in direct support, medication administration, and creating care plans. This role involves assisting with daily living activities and ensuring the well-being of residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living
- Administer medications following prescribed guidelines
- Monitor and record vital signs
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment
- Implement care plans tailored to individual needs
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals, such as nurses and social workers
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents
Requirements
- Experience in group home or long-term care settings preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols
- Ability to create and implement care plans
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of home and community care practices
- Compassionate attitude towards residents
- Certification in direct support or related field is a plus
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 40 per week
