Responsibilities:
Assist in demolition, framing, drywalling, trim work and all other aspects of general construction
Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work area
Erect and dismantle scaffolding, fencing, hoarding as required
Assist various tradespersons in construction activities
Operate various power tools, machines, and other equipment as directed (drills, compressors, pneumatic guns, skill saws, chop saws, table saws, jack hammer, etc.)
Understanding of job site logistics, blue print reading, use of laser tools an asset
Qualifications:
Must be capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting materials, working at heights, and operating in an active commercial construction environment.
Experience using hand tools, power tools, measuring tools.
Must provide own basic carpentry tools required for the role.
Valid Working at Heights certification is considered an asset.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt on the job.
Willingness to travel and work out of town occasionally (Monday–Friday) within Ontario.
A valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle are considered assets.
