Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will play a vital role in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers.
Duties
Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases.
Operate the till and handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision.
Ensure the checkout area is clean, organised, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and courteously.
Maintain accurate records of transactions and ensure all payments are processed correctly.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
Assist in restocking shelves and maintaining the overall appearance of the store as needed.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is preferred but not essential.
Strong numerical skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in transactions.
Excellent communication skills with a friendly disposition towards customers.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays if required.
A basic understanding of point-of-sale systems is advantageous but training will be provided.
