Job Description
We currently have an opportunity for a Full Time Catering Assistant. Join our team and play a key role in being part of something truly special as we manage the delivery of support services critical to maintaining the integrity of the hospital's operations including food, cleaning, security and maintenance. Reporting to the Chef in charge, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.
What You’ll Do (key responsibilities)
This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
Food preparation and serve products
Maintain kitchen, equipment and utensils in a safe, operational and hygienic condition.
Regularly evaluate food ingredients contents and allergens prior to processing
Ensure all stock is stored following FIFO (First in First Out) and always prevent cross contamination
What You’ll Bring (experience required)
Minimum 1-2 years in similar role
Experience in a healthcare environment such as Hospitals or Aged Care is preferred but not essential
Experience in 5-star hotels, a la carte restaurants, functions and/or catering environment is essential.
High standard of personal presentation and strong communication skills
Worked within HACCP certified environment is preferred
