About the role
The Forestville Early Learning Centre (ELC) is a purpose-built 60 place preschool on the grounds of our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Primary School. At our Early Learning Centre, we provide a range of learning experiences for children aged between 3 and 5 years.
We are looking for a Certificate III Child Care Educator that can understand the needs of a child and create a fun, warm, caring and safe environment. This role is a permanent part time role working in the preschool room during school term from 7:55am to 3:31pm Monday to Thursday and will be on paid leave during the school holidays.
Location: Forestville NSW
Classification: Part time
Award level: Above award + Paid School Holidays + Salary packaging + $1,000 sign on bonus
Days: Monday to Thursday
Hours: 7:55am to 3:31pm
Ideally you will be able to
Have an understanding and experience with the Early years Learning Framework (EYLF)
Assist the Director/ Teacher to plan, implement and evaluate programs
Ensure a welcoming, safe, hygienic environment, reflective of best practices
Helping with observations and experiences
Develop positive and supportive relationships with children and families
Form collaborative and positive relationship with colleagues
Requirements
A Certificate III Qualification in Early Childhood Education
Current and valid Working with Children Check clearance.
Completion of CHCPRT025 "Identify & report children and young people at risk" certificate or willingness to obtain
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate with Asthma and Anaphylaxis.
Knowledge of the Education and Care National regulations and National Quality Framework.
