Assurance Home Care is seeking dedicated and passionate Health Care Aides to join our team for regularly scheduled shifts. The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering first in class care to our clients, and being respectful and caring while working in the client home environment.

What You Will Do:

As a valued member of our care team, you will provide meaningful, client-centered support that promotes dignity, independence, and quality of life through:

Provide personal care such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and hygiene while maintaining client dignity and comfort.
Assist with light housekeeping tasks including laundry, dishes, tidying, and meal preparation.
Accompany clients to appointments, errands, or shopping and provide support throughout outings.
Offer meaningful companionship and emotional support to reduce isolation and improve overall wellbeing.
Assist with safe mobility, including transfers, walking support, and positioning.
Follow individualized care plans and promptly report any changes in client condition to the care team.
Support clients with cognitive challenges using patience, redirection, and familiar routines. Build trusting relationships with clients and their families by being a reliable, kind, and attentive presence.
Encourage client independence and participation in daily routines whenever possible.
What You Bring to the Role:

Minimum 1 year of experience in caregiving, home care, or personal support work
Health Care Aide or Personal Support Worker (PSW) certification from a recognized college is considered a strong asset
Current CPR and First Aid certification is considered an asset
Must be able to provide a clear Vulnerable Sector Screening and a negative TB test upon hire
Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle is considered an asset
Must be available for a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, overnights, and weekends
