Key Responsibilities
• Tax Compliance and Planning: Assist in the preparation of US Individual (1040) and Business (1120, 1120S, 1065) tax returns, conduct tax research, and assist in planning strategies.
• Accounting Functions: Support general ledger, reconciliations, AP/AR, and payroll tasks, as well as financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Audit and Assurance Engagements: Participate in audit and assurance engagements under supervision and stay current with IRS updates, US GAAP, and other regulatory changes.
• Client Communication: Communicate with clients for document collection and clarifications, and represent clients in IRS audits and respond to tax notices.
• Leadership and Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior team members, manage client relationships, and contribute to business development and strategic advisory services.
Required Qualifications
• Education: CPA
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience: 0–8+ years of relevant experience in US accounting, tax, or audit.
• US GAAP, IRS tax codes, and accounting principles knowledge.
• Proficiency in software such as QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, Intuit ProConnect, Lacerte, Drake, or similar.
• Analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
• Experience working with US-based clients or CPA firms.
• Exposure to financial statement preparation and tax projections.
• Multi-state tax compliance and international taxation knowledge.
• Background in audit, assurance, or financial advisory.
