Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to partner with a rapidly growing startup medical practice in the Atlanta area. This role will provide strategic financial leadership during a critical growth phase and may transition into a permanent CFO position based on business expansion and mutual interest.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide strategic financial leadership to support rapid organizational growth
• Oversee financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management
• Lead capital funding activities, including investor relations, fundraising strategy, and financial presentations
• Support financial infrastructure build-out appropriate for a high-growth medical practice
• Establish and refine financial controls, reporting, and KPIs
• Partner closely with founders and executive leadership on growth strategy and scalability
• Ensure financial compliance with healthcare industry regulations
• Advise on long-term financial strategy, M&A opportunities, and expansion initiatives
Required Qualifications
• Proven experience as a Fractional CFO or Senior Financial Leader
• Startup medical practice or healthcare industry experience (required)
• Demonstrated success with capital funding, fundraising, or investor-backed growth
• Experience supporting rapidly scaling organizations
• Strong background in financial strategy, modeling, and operational finance
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid remote/on-site environment in the Atlanta area
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience transitioning from fractional to permanent CFO roles
• Background working with private equity, venture-backed, or founder-led organizations
• Hands-on approach with the ability to operate both strategically and tactically
Engagement Details
• Fractional engagement to start
• Hybrid schedule (Atlanta-based presence required)
• Opportunity to convert to permanent CFO role contingent on company growth
