Salary: 70,000 AUD- 77,000 AUD
Full Time, 5 day week , 6am start

Job Description:
Daily running of the kitchen, including preparing, portioning, and organising ingredients prior to service Prepare and cook food from fresh ingredients Perform a range of basic and advanced cookery methods Follow the existing menu, redeveloping it regularly and creating and planning ”weekly specials”, including recipe development; with an updated and current knowledge of dietary and allergy menu requirements Monitor and maintain a consistency in the quality of the dishes, preparation and presentation. Discuss food preparation issues with managers. Pricing analysis of menu items based on food price specials and seasonality. Keep track of the stock / raw materials to avoid shortages or wastage Stock control and ordering processes. Manage cleanliness and hygiene quality. Label all prepared items with preparation (start) dates and expiry dates, and ensuring proper storage in accordance with food safety standards Lead, train and mentor the kitchen team. To be successful for this role you must possess the following: A suitable educational qualification/s in hospitality or at least 3 years of relevant work experience is required. Attention to detail and creativity, with a passion for food. Be fast, efficient and able to work well under pressure. Have effective communication skills and the passion to set high standards in the kitchen, leading the team by example. Work within the requirements of food safety and food handling. Have a high interest in quality produce.
