Job Description
The company is currently seeking to appoint a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) responsible for overseeing finance, payroll, and administrative functions, including accounts, payroll, regulatory compliance, procurement administration, and workforce support systems. The role also supports the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and leadership team through improved reporting, financial analysis, and operational data insights to support better decision-making.
The annual salary for this full-time position is $140,000 to $145,000 plus superannuation.
Duties include:
Financial Reporting & Business Support
Support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting across the organisation.
Provide financial insights and reporting, including Profit & Loss Accounts, and Cash Flow Statements, to assist management decision-making.
Assist with financial reporting, project reporting, and cost analysis across operations.
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and financial processes.
Develop useful financial and operational reporting metrics across the Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, and Cash Flow Statement.
Financial Management & Accounting
Oversee Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable functions.
Ensure accurate preparation of monthly management accounts as well as preparation of quarterly and year-end accounts, including Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account and Cash Flow statement.
Oversee bank reconciliations, cash management, and financial controls.
Monitor job costing, project profitability, and financial analysis through project-level Profit & Loss Accounts.
Manage relationships with Auditors, banks, and external Advisors.
Treasury & Cash Flow Management
Maintain oversight of company cash flow and working capital.
Manage banking relationships and funding arrangements.
Monitor project cash flow across operational sites.
Implement strategies to optimise working capital.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance
Ensure compliance with Australian taxation and regulatory obligations.
Oversee BAS lodgments, payroll tax, GST compliance, and corporate taxation.
Coordinate external audits and tax advisors.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Improving financial visibility of projects through clear and practical reporting.
Helping management understand project profitability and operational performance.
Developing useful reporting tools that support better decision making.
Identifying opportunities to improve inventory forecasting and financial processes.
Supporting operational teams with clear financial insights and practical improvements.
Workplace Health & Safety Responsibilities

Qualifications:
Must have extensive senior finance leadership experience.
Must have more than (10) years of experience.
Should hold at least a Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Business, Commerce, Management, or a related field.
CA, CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
Should have experience within manufacturing, construction, or project-based industries (highly regarded).
Strong financial strategy, forecasting, and analytical capability.
Experience managing multi-site or project-based operations.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
MYOB experience (highly regarded).
Pay: $140,000.00 – $145,000.00 per year
