Chief Operations Officer (COO) - Literacy Aotearoa
Literacy Aotearoa, a Private Training Establishment (PTE) with a long history of delivering Adult literacy and numeracy education in New Zealand, is seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Operations Officer (COO) to join our Executive Leadership Team.
About the Role
As COO, you will play a crucial role in shaping the operational and delivery performance of our organisation, supporting Te Tumuaki (CEO) in achieving our strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee educational performance outcomes and programme development
Drive business growth and strategic partnerships
Ensure compliance with NZQA regulations and relevant legislation
Lead the organisation to achieve NZQA Category 1 status
Lead operational efficiency and site management initiatives
Manage and develop operations staff

Ideal Candidate
We're looking for a dynamic leader with:
Minimum of a Master's degree in Education, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum 10 years of senior management experience in the education sector
Proven track record in operational leadership and strategic planning as a senior leader within an NZQA Category 1 PTE
In-depth understanding of the New Zealand education system and NZQA requirements
Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
