About the Client: Our client is major Player in Chemicals business in Asia, enjoy leadership status in most of the product categories.
They have state-of-the-art manufacturing plants located across the region and to implement world class safety and hygene standards they are currently looking for a seasoned professional to lead the HSE & sustainability function of multiple manufacturing plants spread across the region.
Responsibilities:The incumbent will be responsible to manage all the aspects of Safety of all the plants, environment projects and industrial hygene.
This position will work closely on all identified Safety initiatives and participate in strategising, implementing, training , conducting evaluations and audits and in future proofing.He/ she will be responsible for the following :Ensuring incident free operations and loss prevention for the Units.Proactively identifying, evaluating and controlling the risks in the plant operations.Maintain regular Communication with different groups of people towards Safety, Health and Environment of Employees, Contractors and other concerned stakeholders.To ensure that all the safety-related equipment is provided in the plant as needed in design and the same are always maintained in healthy condition.To manage the assurance and audit processes and develop capability in team for activities like Incident Investigation, Risk Assessment and Emergency Response Planning.To comply with all legal requirements of the land and register for Safety position, and environmental permission to government agencies as per legal requirement.To ensure the availability of License to Operate from various agencies.To identify Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene requirements and to share to the required stakeholders for compliance.To manage security system and access control of organization.To comply with and provide the appropriate Fire Fighting system and aids necessary for the plant.To manage and periodically upgrade the Health Management and Industrial Hygiene System for the organization.Responsible for Biowaste management.To plan and coordinate with area owners to monitor parameters related to environment and maintain a positive trend to achieve pollution free operations.To develop in consultation with Units and Businesses the plans for Water, Energy, Waste, Emissions and convert them to projects and help implement these as sponsor.To ensure communication related to Sustainability Report and the result of its implementation to all the stakeholders.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering with an advanced qualifications in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field required; Master's degree is desirable.15-20 years of work experience out of which last 5 years in a leadership role, handling multiple high hazard chemical plants.Extensive knowledge of local environmental regulations and policies.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.
