The Gluck Child Care Center was established in 1++3 to provide childcare services to the employees of Scripps Health and The Scripps Research Institute. The program serves children ages 3 months to 6 years old in eight age-appropriate classrooms. Our staff are fully-qualified, accomplished teachers who value parent involvement.
Your Responsibilities:
Care and developmental needs of young children
Supervising children and assigned Substitute Teachers' Assistants
Knowledge of Title 22 Department of Social Services Child Development Division 12 Regulations
Requirements:
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, twelve (12) semester units in college-level Child Development and/or Early Childhood Education as defined by California state licensing regulations
An Infant Teacher (working with children under 2 years old) must have at least 3 semester units related to the care of infants
Six (6) months of work experience in a licensed childcare program
Ability to lift a child weighing up to 50 lbs., visually supervise children playing, hear a child's call for help, and respond physically to a child's needs
Heartsaver Infant and Child CPR/First Aid certification through American Heart Association
Meet state requirements for this role; i.e. Live Scan
