Description
This position is responsible for supporting the overall care of children in the Intergenerational Learning Center, frequently working in partnership with a Teacher. Responsibilities include supporting age appropriate programs that provide interesting, stimulating and challenging indoor and outdoor experiences, as well as assisting with children's daily activities. This position helps support our intergenerational program, nurturing interaction between residents and children. Included in these responsibilities are maintaining the classroom, preparing materials for the children and certain clerical and record-keeping duties.

Required Qualifications:
STARs Basic Child Care Center Certificate or equivalent as determined by program manager within 30 days of hire
Registered in Washington STARS MERIT system for early childhood personnel upon hire
Apply for a Portable Background Check through the WA State DCYF MERIT system upon hire
1 year of experience working with children ages birth to 5 years
Preferred Qualifications:
Coursework/Training: A CDA or 12 ECE related college credits as determined by the program manager. Or
Associate's Degree - AA in ECE or Child Development or an AA in another field with at least 12 ECE related credits as determined by the program manager.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Providence Home and Community Care (HCC) is a service line within Providence with over 8,000 caregivers and 2,000 volunteers serving nearly 200,000 people a year, in their homes, in clinics and in a variety of congregate living ministries across our seven-state footprint.
HCC provides a full range of services and support for people of all ages, especially those facing chronic or life-limiting illnesses. Our core competencies include restorative care, longitudinal care and care through the end of life. Our service lines include assisted living/skilled nursing/rehabilitation, home health, home infusion/pharmacy services, home medical equipment, hospice and palliative care, Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), personal home services/private duty care and supportive housing.
