About the Role

We are seeking expressions of interest from experienced paediatric nurses who would like the opportunity to work in a community setting in the role of Childrens Community Nurse Specialist within our Community Child Health Teams based at Waitakere Hospital.

Our Childrens Community Nurse Specialists provide advanced nursing practice within an interdisciplinary team to promote safety, independence and self-care for whānau who have pēpi/tamariki with complex health needs in the home.

In this role, you will be visiting tamariki and whānau in their homes to provide specialist nursing care within a case management model to support a variety of paediatric health conditions such as acute/chronic/ complex medical cares, neonatal care and wound management. Your ability to work autonomously in the community to advocate, consult and collaborate would be well utilised in this senior nursing role.
