Required qualifications:
• Knowledge of 802.11 ac/ax standards and specs. Deeper understanding of 802.11 wireless protocols, systems engineering (MAC, PHY, and RF) concepts, and related networking technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Octoscope, Lite Point, iperf, Ixia Traffic Generators (Ixia Chariot iPerf, etc.) and similar performance testing tools
• Experience in analyzing Wireshark packet captures (wired and wireless) to troubleshoot and root cause issues
• Experience in various unicast and multicast protocols decoding and solving networking system issues.
• Good understanding of distributed networking concepts and design
• Experience in creating and executing test plans for software features
• Experience in analyzing automation test and logs
• Knowledge in Linux Kernel and dump collection, and call stack analysis
• Experience in guiding the junior test engineers.
Job Description:
• Validate Orbi Wi-Fi Mesh product for software stability, connectivity, coordinated networking functionalities, and interoperability
• Do white box testing based on analysis of the internal software structure
• Regression analysis and integration testing
• Closely work with system engineering team to understand the RF level issues
• Repro the customer/beta testers/support team reported problems
• Work with chip vendors on replicating and debugging specific problems
• Work with ODM software team on RCA analysis
• Automate by writing nightly test suites, log collection.
• Reporting the data In visual forms
• Cross-collaborate with various internal development and QA teams
• Coach and mentor, the junior engineers
