Remote / Claims
Pay Range: $60,000-$70,000 Per Year. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable.

Job Description
We are looking for a Claims Adjuster who appreciates a challenge, enjoys a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem solving, and working with others. As a Claims Adjuster you will assist the Complex Claims Manager with oversight duties of our many Third-Party administrators as to claim handling, settlement authority, and approval of coverage communications to insured and claimants. You’ll form part of an entrepreneurial insurance company with a friendly but fast-paced environment. The role will require you to be organized and have strong analytical skills.
This is a full-time remote role in which you’ll report to the Complex Claims Manager.
What you’ll do as a Claims Adjuster?
• Must be able to analyze coverage issues and articulate the reasons for a Reservation of Rights letter and/or coverage declinations.
• Ability to objectively evaluate a claim on its merits but also have the insight to anticipate legal costs of defense and risk, should a claim move forward to trial.
• Review claim files when presented with a large loss report while being a stickler for details, accuracy, and timeliness.
• May require auditing others claim files.
Qualifications
What we look for in our Claims Adjuster
• Must have experience in handling claims and coverage issues for multiple lines of business - commercial auto, personal auto, renters, and construction defect coverage in multiple states.
• Proficient in use of automated claims managements systems, multiple web access protocols and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Work Experience
• Adjuster license in home state
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Organizational skills to keep track of multiple projects or cases at a time.
• Litigation experience is a plus.
