With a national audience of more than 115,000 + visitors across 6 national shows held in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, and Brisbane each year, it is the industry premium platform connecting producers and consumers and for providing incredible access to leading chefs and masterclasses.

We are seeking a high-performing, results driven Client Account Manager to join an energetic team to manage our portfolio of drinks clients (including major wineries & distillers) on a 12-month maternity leave cover role with potential to move to permanent.

This is your chance to immerse yourself in one of the country's most exciting events and work with an amazing team from either Melbourne or Sydney locations. Exceptional candidates from South Australia (remote) will also be considered.

THE ROLE: Developing Relationships & Driving Client Success

This is a 360-degree account management role where you will be entrusted with

managing your own book of clients, predominantly but not limited to the drinks sector. You will

be instrumental in turning high-profile brands into long-term, successful partners, leveraging

both a database of warm leads and a healthy established client base, as well as sourcing new

exhibitors.

You must be a proactive and energetic professional with a proven track record of

exceeding KPIs. You’ll be required to travel interstate for our 6 annual events and fulfil

essential operational duties onsite to ensure the success of our partners.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Client Relationship & Strategic Growth: Develop and nurture strong, long-term

relationships with our established brand partners, ensuring their experience is

exceptional and driving high year-on-year retention. You will be responsible for

maximising partner satisfaction and identifying opportunities to expand their

involvement through tailored solutions

Focus on Expanding the Network: Proactively engage with potential new brand

partners, particularly those generated through warm leads and industry networking.

Introduce them to the value of the GFWS and secure new exhibition space to

expand our client network.

Strategic Account Management: Conduct regular meetings with key stakeholders

(both interstate and locally), presenting partnership results, securing renewals, and

identifying opportunities for upselling and expanded client involvement.

Industry Expertise: Develop an in-depth understanding of the beverage industry,

market trends, and key associations to effectively position our shows as the premier

platform for client growth.

Operational Excellence: Maintain an accurate and informative client database in our

CRM (Salesforce) and collaborate with our Operations, Marketing, and Finance

teams to ensure seamless client delivery.

On-Site Delivery: Travel interstate to fulfil essential operational and client-facing

responsibilities, ensuring our partners achieve success at our six annual events.

THE PERSON: Self-motivated, highly driven and passionate about food and wine.

To thrive in this role, you must be a confident, self-motivated, and highly organised

professional who excels at business relationship management and sales and possesses

a genuine passion for the events and food and drinks beverage sectors.

Essential Skills & Experience:

Minimum 3+ years of proven account management, sales and/or event experience.

A history of successfully achieving and exceeding commercial growth targets and

KPIs.

Confidence in engaging with new contacts and maintaining a high level of

professional communication (both verbal and written).

Exceptional organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Required Flexibility: Must be willing to travel interstate (6 events per year) and work

irregular hours as required during event periods.

Intermediate knowledge of Google Suite and familiarity with Salesforce or a similar

CRM system.

A demonstrated passion for and knowledge of the Australian beverage industry

(wine, beer, spirits,) and for event management is highly desirable
