PRIMARY FOCUS:

Senior-level client advisor responsible for managing and growing a $1.3M book of business, leading a three-person client services team, and driving new business development in partnership with the division’s Producer. This role spans three core areas of accountability: client retention and service leadership, growth partnership, and personal book development.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Client Executive, Select/Premier oversees a book of business of approximately $1.3M in annual revenue and leads a team of three direct reports. This role is responsible for retaining and servicing an existing client portfolio, partnering with the division’s Producer on new business acquisition, and developing a personal book of business within Venbrook Benefits. The position requires 5 to 7 years of Employee Benefits agency or brokerage experience with strong knowledge of the California fully insured market.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Client Retention & Service Leadership

Manage and retain an existing book of business of approximately $1.3M in annual revenue, serving as the primary strategic advisor for Select and Premier market clients.
Lead the annual renewal process for all assigned accounts; oversee RFP preparation, carrier negotiations, and plan design recommendations to ensure competitive outcomes and strong retention rates.
Direct and develop a team of three direct reports, providing coaching, performance oversight, and clear delegation of day-to-day account activities including enrollment changes, billing reconciliation, carrier communications, and client correspondence.
Deliver a high-touch, proactive client experience; anticipate client needs, resolve issues with professionalism and urgency, and ensure every interaction reflects the Venbrook Benefits standard of service excellence.
Advise clients on benefit plan design, compliance requirements (ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA), and recommended plan improvements appropriate for the Select and Premier market segment.
Lead and support open enrollment activities for assigned clients, including preparation of employee communications, benefit guides, and carrier presentations.
Maintain accurate and organized client files; document all account activities in a clear and consistent manner in accordance with Venbrook’s procedures and system standards.
Growth Partnership

Qualify prospects and join the Producer on new business appointments, serving as a consultative partner in the sales process and contributing directly to how new clients are brought across the finish line.
Actively support and participate in new business opportunities referred through PNC producer relationships, representing the division with professionalism and a thorough command of Venbrook Benefits’ capabilities and market position.
Prepare and deliver compelling prospect presentations; assist in RFP responses, proposal preparation, and post-appointment follow-up to advance the pipeline and close new business.
Identify and act upon cross-selling and upselling opportunities within the existing book; proactively surface expanded coverage recommendations to clients where appropriate.
Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, marketplace changes, carrier appetites, and plan offerings relevant to the Select and Premier market; leverage this expertise to differentiate Venbrook Benefits in competitive sales situations.
Personal Book Development

Leverage existing client and professional relationships by bringing established connections into Venbrook Benefits, expanding the division’s footprint through trusted introductions and referrals.
Prospect independently within the Select and Premier market to identify and develop new client opportunities, building a personal book of business under the Venbrook Benefits platform.
Develop and maintain a proactive pipeline of prospects; manage the full sales cycle from introduction through onboarding, in coordination with the division’s Producer and support team.
Represent Venbrook Benefits in the community and at industry events to build visibility, strengthen professional networks, and generate new business opportunities.

Presentation Skills: Able to independently organize and conduct client and carrier presentations appropriate for the Select and Premier market.
Sales & Growth Mindset: Understands cross-selling opportunities, identifies revenue growth within existing accounts, and supports Producer-led new business efforts.
Team Leadership: Provides direction and guidance to Client Manager(s); delivers constructive feedback, models accountability, and contributes to a positive team environment.
Ethics: Committed to following company procedures; demonstrates ethical behavior in all business dealings.
Technical Expertise: Solid working knowledge of fully insured group benefit plan design including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits. Familiarity with ACA compliance, ERISA requirements, and COBRA/HIPAA administration.
California Life & Health License required.
CEBS or GBA designation preferred.
COMPUTER SKILLS:

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.
BenefitPoint or Employee Navigator experience required.
EDUCATION & LICENSING:

Bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum 5 to 7 years of related Employee Benefits experience at an agency or brokerage.
California Life & Health License required.
CEBS or GBA designation preferred.
Salary 150k
