Overview of the Role
Canterbury Health Laboratories is a leading medical diagnostic reference laboratory, providing comprehensive testing services to support the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases. As a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of laboratory operations.
Responsibilities:
Support the Section Head in maintaining high levels of operational performance in the laboratory.
Carry out all procedures accurately and efficiently according to established protocols.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless workflow and high-quality patient care.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Registration with the New Zealand Medical Sciences Council as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or eligibility for registration.
Previous experience in Histology, including special stains and immunohistochemistry, is preferred.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and troubleshoot issues.
Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
