About the Opportunity
Join our team as a Clinical Nurse Educator and make a meaningful impact on the quality of patient care across Murrumbidgee LHD. In this vital role, you'll assess, plan, deliver and evaluate clinical education programs to support nursing and midwifery staff in maintaining and promoting best practice and quality care outcomes.
You'll mentor the next generation of nurses, facilitate orientation and professional development, and foster a positive learning culture within your unit and across the district.
As the CNE, you will:
Identify, plan and facilitate clinical and professional education for nursing and midwifery staff
Support orientation of new and transitioning employees, including students
Provide clinical supervision and mentoring to students, new and existing nurses and midwives
Develop and manage mandatory education programs and competency assessments
Support quality improvement processes and contribute to policy and procedure development
Role model clinical leadership and promote best practice across the organisation

About You:
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Minimum 2 years' experience in the specialty area
Demonstrated clinical teaching and facilitation skills
Knowledge of competency assessment and adult learning principles
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to ongoing professional development
Current Class C driver's licence and willingness to travel within MLHD
Desirable: Postgraduate education qualification or working towards
