AWS Specialist Solutions Architects (SSAs) are technologists with deep domain-specific expertise, addressing advanced concepts and feature designs. As part of the AWS sales organization, SSAs work with customers who have complex challenges requiring expert-level knowledge to solve. You will provide expertise across the entire lifecycle of an AWS customer initiative, from developing ideas for new services to accelerating adoption of established businesses.
About the Team
The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is part of AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS), responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest-growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers, including public sector. We work backwards from our customers' most complex and business-critical problems to build and execute go-to-market plans that turn AWS ideas into multi-billion-dollar businesses.
Responsibilities
Represent the voice of the customer and bring feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap.
Provide advanced technical knowledge to domain-aligned GTM teams to unblock customers' largest and most critical business challenges.
Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit and AWS re:Invent.
Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide.
Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, helping them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures.
Requirements
7+ years of design/implementation/consulting experience of distributed applications.
5+ years of management of technical, customer-facing resources.
Experience building integrations across WFM, CRM, and contact center solutions or communication protocols and APIs such as WebRTC and SIP.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers.
AWS Solution Architecture certification or relevant cloud expertise.
