Job description
We are looking for Cloud Automation DBA – AWS ,RDS DBAs, who are deeply hands-on with Terraform ,
Cloudformation ,AWS RDS and MSSQL databases running on EC2. Our Next DBA need to have a track
record of successful recording delivering on above technology stack.
Terraform in-depth hands-on - Must.
AWS Administration - Huge plus.
Databases Cloud RDS + Aurora, EC2 Hosted – Huge plus.
Cloudformation – Good to have.
Skills & Qualification:
• Terraform in-depth hands-on experience of minimum 8 years is a must
• Automate the code and Infra Deployments.
• Support database related task automation in AWS using Terraform. Database Understanding will
help in supporting these activities. Validation, Testing and Performance, monitoring etc.
• Experience managing infrastructure deployments using Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform)
• Experience in implementation of few of the following using Terraform : AWS resource
provisioning, cost utilization reports.
• Any SQLServer, MySQL, PostgreSQL experience will be huge plus.
• Collaborative, team focus with working experience in a 24x7 uptime environment.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must.
• Cloudformation experience is a huge plus.
Required experience in cloud:
• Supporting Terraform centric Database operations running 24x7.
• Troubleshooting the issues pro-actively , user reported
• Resolving Terraform centric issues pro-actively , user reported.
• Documentation around the work domain
• Preparing Best Practice document
• Preparing Standards documents Certifications (Desirable)
• HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate
• AWS Database Specialty
• AWS Solution Architect Associate or up
• AWS Solutions Architect Professional.
Representative Job Duties
• Execute automation task using Terraform related to Database , RDS
• Create SOP documents and building Knowledge management (KEDB) and other GXP related artifacts.
• Training and following for GXP Standards.
• Participate in Project related activities of coordination, joining calls etc.
• Create templates for AWS resource provisioning.
• Work with Database team to plan automation of all L1-L2 tasks using Terraform and Cloudformation
• Responsible to independently setup RDS environment
• Responsible to independently do infra. migration (Cloud to Cloud, In-Premise to Cloud)
• Responsible for independently provisioning cloud infra. using CLI and Cloud-formation
• Responsible to implement the solution in a framework that is more readily available and demonstrate ease
of use. When factoring new architecture make build v/s buy decision and consider cost aspects.
• Work in coordination with other internal teams to ensure the infrastructure fully and effectively supports
current and planned application systems.
• Designing and deploying applications on the cloud and identifying and using appropriate cloud services to
support applications on the cloud.
• Across the AWS account Roles and access management
• Log management in CloudWatch
