In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our cloud databases in Azure and AWS, as well as actively participating in database programming tasks. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability, performance, and security of our cloud databases, while also contributing to the development and optimization of database schema and queries for cloud-native applications.
Responsibilities:
Deploy, configure, and optimize databases in Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
Monitor and optimize database performance for efficient query execution.
Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery (DR) strategies.
Collaborate with teams to optimize database schema and queries for cloud-native applications.
Develop and maintain database programming solutions, including stored procedures, functions, and scripts.
Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in the cloud environment.
Ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and compliance with security best practices.
Stay updated with emerging database technologies for Azure and AWS.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support applications and resolve database-related issues.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience deploying and managing databases in Azure (Azure SQL Database, Azure Database for MySQL) and AWS (Amazon RDS, Amazon Aurora).
Proficiency in database administration, backup and recovery, performance tuning, and troubleshooting in Azure and AWS.
Strong SQL skills and experience optimizing database queries for cloud environments.
Familiarity with cloud database security and best practices.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
