At least 10 years machining experience mostly in Aerospace/Defense with 5 years of multi-axis machining
Ability to understand blueprints and engineering drawings with knowledge of geometric tolerancing
Must have experience with MasterCam

Responsibilities
Primary responsibility is to engineer, program, set up and/or troubleshoot multi-axis CNC Lathes and/or multi-axis Vertical and Horizontal Mills
Creates the CNC machining program and engineering process for new parts and trouble shoots existing jobs that are more difficult
Setup new and more difficult parts then hands off to operator for production, following up accordingly
Fully documents order of operations, creates program and tool sheets while maintaining an organized electronic filing system
Diagnoses and rectifies tooling problems and machine malfunctions
Understands blueprints and engineering drawings to ensure proper setups, sequence of operations, dimensions and tolerances that assist in the estimating process
Contacts tooling suppliers to test new technology to maximize lights out machining
Mentors other machinists and performs other duties in the spirit of teamwork and cooperation
