About the role

As a Commercial Property Claims Adjuster you will work with customers who have experienced a loss to their commercial property, helping them through the claims process. Working with vendors, adjusters, and other experts, you will demonstrate empathy, strong listening skills, business acumen, and organizational effectiveness as you manage a wide variety of Commercial claims through to completion.
Note: The internal title for this role is Claims Specialist.

What you'll do here:

Analyze information gathered, interpret insurance policy wordings, determine coverage, and assess damage
Develop an action plan to ensure all aspects of the claim are addressed
Manage all financial components of the claim, including setting reserves and ensuring prompt and equitable settlements in line with Intact’s policies and standards
Ensure clear and concise information and direction is provided to vendors
Work with experts including appraisers, engineers and others to help drive progress throughout the claim
Provide a superior quality of customer service to external and internal customers, and answer queries relating to the claims process
Keep up to date on Intact’s insurance products, appraisal and investigation techniques, and service

Salary of the successful candidate will typically be positioned between the following range, taking into consideration a number of factors including prior experience, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, location and internal equity:

$75,800.00 - $113,600.00
