About The Simple Vue Academy
The Simple Vue Academy (SVA) is a tuition-free public charter school in Douglasville, Georgia, serving grades 6-7 with plans to expand to 6-12. Founded through an extensive 18-month community co-design process involving over 1,000 stakeholders, SVA focuses on STREAM education (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) integrated with entrepreneurship pathways. Our school is grounded in the core values of Voice, Ubuntu ("I am because we are"), and Empowerment, emphasizing student-led learning and community partnership.
Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Community Engagement & Recruitment Specialist to lead a focused 5-month initiative to recruit and enroll students in grades 6-8 from Douglas, Paulding, Fulton, and Cobb counties. This position is critical to SVA's growth and sustainability as we work toward reaching 150+ students.
Primary Objective
Recruit and enroll students in grades 6-8 by Juy 31st through strategic community engagement and family-centered recruitment efforts across Douglas, Paulding, Fulton, and Cobb counties.
Key Responsibilities: Student & Family Recruitment (Primary Focus):
Develop and execute a comprehensive recruitment strategy targeting families with students in grades 6-8 across the four-county service area
Manage volunteer recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention processes to build a committed volunteer base.
Conduct outreach at community events, churches, recreation centers, libraries, and other family gathering spaces
Host informational sessions and school tours for prospective families
Build and maintain a pipeline of interested families through systematic follow-up and relationship building
Guide families through the enrollment process from initial interest to completed enrollment
Track recruitment metrics and provide weekly progress reports
Community Engagement:
Identify and establish relationships with key community partners, organizations, and influencers in Douglas, Paulding, Fulton, and Cobb counties
Represent SVA at community events, meetings, and gatherings
Develop promotional materials and talking points that resonate with diverse community audiences
