Key Responsibilities
• Develop, implement, and manage compensation and benefit programs aimed at attracting, rewarding, and retaining top talent.
• Assist in overseeing Laboratory compensation programs, focusing on base salary, variable compensation, and special projects.
• Collaborate with various HR functions and laboratory staff to understand business needs, address emerging issues, and deliver tailored solutions.
• Conduct comprehensive market research to identify evolving capabilities necessary for line management.
• Lead project initiatives related to the rollout and administration of new compensation programs.
• Act as a proactive business partner, working closely with HR colleagues, Business Operations, and IT teams.
• Ensure compliance with policies and practices; provide education to employees and managers; escalate issues as needed.
• Engage in projects integrating HR information systems with deployed services; help design and implement career families and other compensation-related initiatives.
• Utilize Power BI and Excel for data analysis to support decision-making and provide valuable business insights.
This position is On-site/Hybrid - Richland, WA preferred!
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
• BS/BA with 5 years of relevant experience -OR- MS/MA or higher with 3 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Professional certification (e.g., Certified Compensation Professional) is preferred.
• In-depth understanding of compensation functions, policy interpretation, and systems design.
• Strong data management skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Advanced skills in Excel, PeopleSoft, and related technologies for compensation analysis.
• Proven experience managing and executing project plans with moderate complexity.
• Experience in generating reports from HR information systems, ideally Oracle or PeopleSoft.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to draft reports and presentations.
• Experience using Excel power queries, PowerBI, Alteryx, or VBA for process efficiency.
• Familiarity with compliance-focused compensation practices under governmental oversight.
• Consulting experience is a plus (e.g., Mercer, Watson Wyatt, Aon).

Salary Range
Minimum Salary: USD $95,300.00/Yr. Maximum Salary: USD $147,600.00/Yr.
