About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Compliance Support Officer to join our team. This is a full-time position, based at our Woden location. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that our services comply with all relevant regulatory and legislative standards. As a Compliance Support Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring compliance and safety regulations, supporting the delivery of high-quality programs, and ensuring that the service is operating in line with industry best practices.

In this role, you will:

Ensure all programs adhere to WCS’s policies and procedures, as well as relevant standards and regulatory requirements, including funding body guidelines.

Perform regular service compliance audits and report findings to the Team Leader, Corporate Quality and Risk.

Offer support and expert advice on compliance matters to services and team members.

Assist services in preparing for, and attending, external compliance audits and Children’s Services Assessment & Rating visits.

Provide high-quality and timely compliance reports as requested, ensuring clarity and accuracy.

Stay up-to-date with changes in legislation and industry standards, maintaining professional knowledge to ensure continued compliance.

Actively participate in team meetings, organisational activities, and contribute to the development of best practices.

Contribute to ensuring that internal policies and procedures are regularly reviewed and updated.

Follow the WCS Work Health and Safety Policy and Procedures, ensuring the safety of yourself, your colleagues, and service users at all times.

Foster a workplace culture where all team members are valued, respected, and recognised, applying principles of workplace diversity and equity.

Apply the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations as relevant to the role.

Job Description
Compliance Support Officer
To be successful for this role, you must possess the following:

Demonstrated experience with interpreting and auditing against standards and legislation. ·
Strong organisational and time management skills including the ability to manage competing and/or changing priorities and deliver to deadlines.
Proven team-oriented approach, with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and coordinate information flows within the team and with other business areas.
Knowledge of National Quality Framework (NQF) and Aged Care standards.
Experience with report writing.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
High attention to detail
Proficiency in, or the ability to rapidly learn relevant software, tools, and industry-specific technologies
