Job Summary:
• Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, including servers, workstations, and peripheral devices.
- Perform regular hardware maintenance, upgrades, and repairs.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and provide timely resolutions.
- Ensure the security and integrity of the computer systems and networks.
- Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with IT team members to implement and maintain network infrastructure.
- Administer user accounts and permissions, including Active Directory management.
- Conduct routine backup and recovery procedures.
- Assist in the evaluation and implementation of new hardware and software technologies.
- Document system configurations, processes, and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of computer hardware components and architectures.
- Proficiency in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting server and workstation hardware.
- Experience with operating systems, such as Windows Server and Linux.
- Strong knowledge of networking principles and protocols.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Previous experience in computer hardware administration and system maintenance is preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
