Tech Concrete is hiring for multiple field positions in the Edmonton area, including Formwork Carpenters, Concrete Finishers, and General Labourers for year-round concrete construction work.
We are looking for reliable, hard-working team members with experience in commercial, industrial, and infrastructure concrete construction. Depending on your background, you may be involved in formwork, concrete placing and finishing, demolition, site support, rebar installation, cleanup, and general crew assistance.

We are currently hiring in the following areas:
Formwork Carpenters
Concrete Finishers
General Labourers
Apprentices and non-ticketed carpenters are welcome to apply for carpenter roles where experience is relevant.
Responsibilities
Depending on the role and your experience, responsibilities may include:
Forming, setting, and stripping concrete walls, columns, slabs, and other structural elements
Working with loose form and modular formwork systems
Placing, pouring, and finishing concrete
Operating standard finishing tools and equipment including screeds, floats, trowels, bull floats, vibrators, edgers, and groovers
Completing aftercare including curing, sealing, densifying, waterproofing, patching, repair, and sacking
Assisting with demolition, cutting, coring, and concrete removal
Supporting carpenters, finishers, and equipment operators on site
Installing rebar or assisting with prefab assemblies
Reading and interpreting blueprints and construction drawings
Maintaining clean, organized, and safe work sites, tools, trailers, and equipment
Following company, client, and site-specific safety requirements at all times
Requirements
Requirements will vary depending on the position, but qualified applicants should have some combination of the following:
Experience in concrete construction, formwork, finishing, or general construction labour
Concrete formwork experience for carpenter applicants
3+ years of commercial or industrial concrete finishing experience preferred for finisher applicants
2+ years of general construction experience, with concrete experience preferred, for labourer applicants
CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015
Fall Protection certificate for formwork carpenter applicants
Ability to work outdoors in physically demanding conditions
Experience with hand and power tools
Strong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to learn
Ability to work safely and effectively as part of a crew
Steel-toe boots and reliable transportation required
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and ******* test
Assets
The following are considered assets depending on the role:
LRT or major infrastructure project experience
Structural concrete experience
Experience with mono-walks, curbs, gutters, stairs, ramps, sidewalks, aprons, slab-on-grade, retaining walls, pits, pedestals, pile caps, grade beams, and chambers
Experience with rebar installation
Ability to read blueprints and understand concrete mixes and finishing requirements
Knowledge of City of Edmonton concrete standards
