A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

Setting up the event space and staging according to event specifications (e.g., theatre, banquet, classroom style), including table arrangement, setting up linens, décor, signage, and event materials, installing and testing basic AV equipment.
Providing exceptional guest service before, during and post-event including greeting and directing guests, providing information or resolving basic issues during the event, and ensuring food and beverage service is timely and accurate.
Act as a point of contact for the client during the event and communicating last-minute changes or requests to relevant colleagues.
Ensuring the event space remains tidy and safe during the function.
Keeping track of event supplies and restocking items as needed before and after events.
Reporting event outcomes or any incidents to supervisors.
Assisting with post-event inventory, storage and guest feedback.
What we need from you

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or large-scale events venue.
Proven success working on large-scale events and a strong understanding of operational logistics.
Exceptional attention to detail, organisational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a guest-first mindset.
Flexibility to work a varied roster including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
Hold a current Responsible Service of ******* (RSA) certification.
Calm under pressure—handling complaints, emergencies, or operational hiccups without disruption.
Full working rights in Australia without restrictions.
Impeccable grooming standards and good personal hygiene.
Physical fitness as you’ll be on your feet most of the day. Sometimes you’ll need to lift, push and pull objects, such as tables up to 23 kg – we have the equipment to support you and keep you safe.
