Job Description
We are a growing design-build company seeking a Construction Estimator / Project Coordinator with a strong background in construction and estimating. This role is ideal for someone with a solid understanding of building systems and construction methodologies as well as practical knowledge of structural, envelope, and interior construction systems. The ideal candidate can confidently read architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings and can turn design information into clear, accurate construction pricing.
You will play a key role in pre-construction estimating while also supporting coordination between the office, clients, and onsite trades.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Pre-Construction
Review architectural and consultant drawings
Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs
Develop comprehensive construction estimates and budgets
Request, review, and analyze quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
Clarify scope, exclusions, and assumptions with trades
Assemble clear and professional construction quotes for clients
Project Coordination
Coordinate communication between office staff, clients, and onsite trades
Assist with trade coordination and scope clarification during projects
Support pricing for changes and additional work as required
Maintain organized estimating and project documentation
Assist with the development and maintenance of project schedules to support efficient planning, trade coordination, and timely project delivery
Attend site visits as required to review existing conditions, support estimating accuracy, and assist with project coordination
Provide general project support as required, including assisting with coordination, documentation, and other duties necessary to support successful project execution
Required Qualifications
Background in construction, estimating, or project coordination
Strong ability to read and interpret architectural, mechanical, and construction drawings
Experience preparing quantity takeoffs and construction estimates
Comfortable communicating with subcontractors and suppliers
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a design-build environment
Familiarity with estimating tools such as Excel, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar
Residential or light commercial construction experience

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
