Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to oversee and coordinate construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and proficiency with construction management software. This role involves supervising crews, managing project schedules, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining quality standards to deliver projects on time and within scope. The Construction Supervisor will serve as a critical link between project management and on-site teams, ensuring seamless communication and efficient operations.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise construction crews, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide construction activities.
Manage project budgets, track costs, and assist with construction estimating to ensure financial targets are met.
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and enforce safety protocols across the job site.
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to facilitate smooth workflow and timely delivery of materials.
Conduct quality control inspections to verify work meets industry standards and project requirements.
Supervise the use of testing equipment such as ohmmeters for electrical inspections when necessary.
Manage contracts, change orders, and ensure adherence to project specifications throughout the construction process.
Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to promote professional growth and maintain high performance standards.
Qualifications
Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in supervising construction sites.
Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, construction estimating, and project scheduling.
Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and best practices for construction site safety compliance.
Demonstrated ability in managing budgets, contracts, quality control processes, and project timelines.
Strong leadership skills with experience supervising teams of various sizes in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills for coordinating between clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and team members.
