Key responsibilities include:
Process Improvement: Analyse and optimize manufacturing processes
Lean Manufacturing: Implement Lean methodologies to improve production flow
Project Management: Lead and manage improvement projects
Client Engagement: Work with automotive manufacturing clients to understand their operational challenges
Capacity Planning & Optimization: Analyse production lines for capacity constraints
Equipment & Automation: Evaluate current manufacturing equipment and recommend upgrades or automation solutions
Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis to solve manufacturing problems
Mentorship & Training: Provide training and mentorship to client staff
Requirements include:
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in manufacturing tools and systems
Certifications: Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies are highly desirable
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify inefficiencies
Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Travel: Willingness to travel to client sites across the UK and possibly abroad
