Job Description
We are seeking a Databricks Architect to lead data platform strategy, define scalable architectures, and drive delivery excellence across enterprise programs. This role demands strong technical leadership, client engagement skills, and ownership of large-scale, cloud-native data implementations.
Key Responsibilities
Define and drive enterprise data strategy, including Lakehouse architecture and roadmap
Architect and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms on Databricks across cloud environments
Lead end-to-end data platform modernization and transformation initiatives
Establish best practices for data engineering, CI/CD, DevOps, and data governance
Drive performance optimization, cost efficiency, and platform scalability
Design and enforce data security, compliance, and governance frameworks
Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, translating business needs into technical solutions
Lead, mentor, and scale high-performing cross-functional data engineering teams
Support pre-sales activities including solution architecture, estimations, and client presentations
Requirements
Core Qualifications
~ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
~8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or big data platforms
~ Proven track record of architecting and delivering Databricks-based solutions at scale
~ Along with experience with Databricks and at least one cloud data warehouse platform (e.g., Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, Google BigQuery, or Oracle Cloud Data Warehouse)
~ Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and query optimization across platforms
~ Strong understanding of Apache Spark internals and performance tuning
~ Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
~ Experience implementing data governance frameworks (e.g., Unity Catalog, data lineage, metadata management)
~ Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
~ Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing complex project delivery
~ Experience designing multi-cloud or hybrid data architectures
~ Exposure to ML engineering and MLOps within the Databricks ecosystem
~ Databricks Certified Professional or Architect certification
