Job Description
• Leading engagement teams, working directly with the clients mentoring and developing team members
• Apply actuarial techniques for calculating reserves, and other cash flows according to various accounting and regulatory regimes (US GAAP, Solvency II, IFRS17, EV, LDTI etc.)
• Review excel spreadsheets/actuarial software that project and validate the cash flows generated by insurance products
• Interpret assumptions and experience studies results of insurance companies
• Advising clients on new regulations (IFRS17, LDTI) and helping them with the implementations
• Lead or support in sales activities
• Supervise work performed by junior team members
• Lead various internal projects and initiatives
The team
Our actuarial consultants provide a wide range of insurance audit, and consulting services to clients. We help our clients combine data, processes, and technology to provide valuable business insights and ensure accurate financial and statutory reporting of their business results. Our team members work collaboratively and apply their specialized knowledge and experience to help clients navigate complex financial and statutory reporting concepts. We offer deep insights into their business practices and procedures and help them make more informed decisions to enhance their business’ efficiencies.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Consulting mindset – must be willing to learn new skills and adapt to changing business environment
• Qualified or near-qualified actuary.
• Relevant work experience of 10 – 15 years in life insurance actuarial domain, with experience of increased management responsibility.
• Excellent problem solving and client service skills
• Proven project and people management capabilities
• Willingness and ability to travel to meet client needs
• Good understanding of cash-flow projection methodologies for life insurance products
• Good understanding of concepts, regulations and guidelines and application of it to multiple projects
• Strong Product knowledge is expected (specifically US products), with experience in Pricing, Valuation or Reporting.
• Graduation/Post Graduation with mathematics/statistics or any subject with sizeable mathematical content
Preferred Skills and Experience:
• Candidates with experience on Financial Transformation projects (could be driven by IFRS17, FASB LDTI etc.)
• Candidates with experience on Implementation of new guidelines and regulations
• Candidates with experience on handling multiple projects – Audit and Consulting
