Role: Content Creator (Photography + Video) – Contractor

Social Boss is a bold and creative social media marketing agency based in Calgary, helping businesses show up online with confidence and style. We’re on the hunt for a talented Content Creator who knows their way around both a camera and a phone—and can turn everyday moments into scroll-stopping content.
If you’re creative, reliable, and have an eye for aesthetics, this role is for you. From planning shot lists and capturing branded photography to editing Reels and TikToks that hit the algorithm just right, you’ll play a key role in bringing our clients' stories to life across platforms.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Capture on-brand photo and video content for a range of clients (product, lifestyle, branding).
Plan, shoot, and edit short-form videos for Instagram Reels and TikTok.
Storyboard, and shoot content that aligns with client strategies and current trends.
Attend and assist with content days (shoot planning, set-up, creative direction).
Edit photo and video content with a strong grasp of visual storytelling, lighting, and composition.
Stay on top of content trends, social media hooks, and transitions.
Collaborate with the Social Media and Strategy teams to align visuals with brand goals.
Occasionally assist with creating UGC-style content or appearing on-camera.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience in content creation, photography, and short-form video editing.
Proficient with editing tools like Lightroom, CapCut, InShot, or similar apps.
A good eye for detail, branding, and creating content that feels both high quality and native to the platform.
Confident shooting with both phone and camera (DSLR/mirrorless experience is a bonus).
Organized, creative, and dependable with the ability to meet deadlines.
Portfolio or examples of your photo + video work are a must.
